Cancellation of 30 in 30 Scrapbooking April 2013

Due to an extreme illness of a close family member, I am canceling 30 in 30 Scrapbooking, the April 2013 rendition.

April is our next month with 30 days, so it's time for another rendition of 30 in 30 Scrapbooking!

The Challenge and the Prize

So, you may ask, what's the challenge?

Bascially, you create 30 scrapbook pages in 30 days, no daily requirement.

Every participant who creates 30 pages in 30 days is eligible for a prize drawing: $30 gift certificate to Two Peas in a Bucket.com.

The Cool Part

As a continuing introductory offer, the April 2013 edition of the 30 in 30 Scrapbooking challenge is absolutely free.

That's right. You can participate in a fun, productive challenge, preserve some memories, perhaps make a few new friends, and possibly win a prize.

At no cost to you.

How awesome is that?

(There may be a nominal fee for participation in the future, but for now, 30 in 30 Scrapbooking is still free.)


The Details: Rules and How to Participate

To participate in 30 in 30 Scrapbooking, all you have to do is email me, and I'll send you an invitation to the Yahoo group where you'll upload your completed pages, chat with the other participants, and hopefully be inspired. You can also go directly to the Yahoo group and click on the join button. Please be sure to join as soon as possible. I'll send invitations for this round through April 7th, 2013, but the requirement to be eligible for the prize drawing is still 30 pages.

The first three renditions of 30 in 30 Scrapbooking were a blast. We all got to know each other, inspire each other, and we got a lot of pages done. Oh, and we had a lot of fun doing it.

Announcing 30 in 30 Scrapbooking - November 2012

It's time for 30 in 30 Scrapbooking - November 2012!

The previous two editions of 30 in 30 Scrapbooking, June and September, were smashing successes, and the month of November promises to be even more so.

It's 30 in 30 Scrapbooking, with a little twist.

The twist? Anything goes.

Instead of being limited to scrapbook pages, any paper-crafting project counts: cards, tags, banners, decorated gift bags, gifts, whatever you can make with paper and glue and whatever else is in your stash. For most of us, November's a busy month, full of preparation for the holidays, so I wanted to make it a bit easier to complete 30 projects, even with the holiday festivities beginning to ramp up and our schedules filling up.

The prize contains a bit of a twist, too. There will be a random drawing for a $30 gift certificate to the online store at Two Peas in a Bucket, and there will be an additional surprise for one lucky winner whose project is your hostess' favorite.

Participants from the past two installments of 30 in 30 Scrapbooking are already signing up. Want to join in? If so, just drop me an email by November 7th, and I'll get you set up with access to our Yahoo group.

The rules are a little simpler this time.

1. Complete 30 paper-crafting projects in 30 days. Scrapbook pages, large gift tags, mini-books, gifts, cards, banners, center-pieces, anything you create with paper-crafting supplies is included. Please keep in mind that each completed project counts as one item of the 30. (For example, if you create a banner that says "Christmas Joy," the whole banner counts as one project, not one for each letter.) Your hostess reserves the right for final judgment on whether a project qualifies or not.

2. All 30 projects must be completed and images posted to the gallery by midnight in the Eastern time zone on the last day of the challenge. (November 30th.) Please number your projects 1 - 30 so it's easier for your hostess to keep track.

3. To be eligible for prizes, participants must join the Yahoo group and post images of their projects in the gallery there.

4. Your hostess will make final determination on prize eligibility and reserves the right to disqualify projects or participants if she deems it necessary.

5. Enjoy yourself! The point of this challenge is to get inspired, jump start your creativity, and have fun in the process.

Here are the FAQ's about 30 in 30 Scrapbooking that nobody's actually asked just yet. :)

1. What is 30 in 30 Scrapbooking?

30 in 30 Scrapbooking is a monthly challenge I developed to facilitate completing a large number of pages in a month's time--thirty!--but without any daily commitment. Participants are free to complete their 30 scrapbook pages at their own pace, reducing pressure and stress, while maintaining the push and creativity of a challenge.

2. Who can participate?

Anyone can. Seasoned scrapbookers, brand new scrapbookers. Paper, hybrid and digital scrapbookers, alike. (The only thing I ask of digital participants is to refrain from simply plugging photos into existing digital templates.)

3. How much does it cost?

Right now, there is no charge for participation in 30 in 30 Scrapbooking. There will likely be a nominal fee for future editions of 30 in 30 Scrapbooking to cover the cost of prizes, but as of this writing, participation is free!

4. Are there prizes involved?

Yes. Anyone who completes 30 scrapbook pages 8x8 or larger and posts them to the Yahoo group gallery by midnight Eastern time on the last day of the challenge will be eligible for the prize drawing. Your hostess makes final determinations on prize eligibility.

5. How do I participate?
